Philip N. Krause

Founding Member - Krause Law LLC

Philip Krause has practiced business, corporate, securities and real estate law in the Kansas City area for his entire professional career.  His practice focuses primarily on serving entrepreneurs who are building innovative new ventures, and established businesses needing trusted outside general counsel services to pursue their strategic objectives.  He is the founding member of Krause Law LLC, a boutique regional business law practice (www.krauselawkc.com).

Philip’s broad-based experience encompasses the entire “life cycle” of high growth ventures, including structuring and organizing the enterprise, establishing relationships with key constituencies (founders, management, investors, etc.), acquiring, protecting and licensing intellectual property assets, securing capital resources through financing transactions (debt, equity, strategic partnerships, etc.), and realizing wealth through exit transactions (IPO, stock & asset sales, mergers).

In addition to his private law practice, Philip serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law for the UMKC School of Law, and an Entrepreneur-In-Residence for the UMKC Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Henry W. Bloch School of Management.

Philip received his law degree from Vanderbilt University in 1983 and his bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in English and business administration from William Jewell College in 1980.
